National Organization on Fetal Alcohol Syndrome

NOFAS works to prevent prenatal exposure to alcohol, drugs, and other substances known to harm fetal development by raising awareness and supporting women before and during their pregnancy, and supports individuals, families, and communities living with Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders (FASDs) and other preventable intellectual/developmental disabilities. Michigan Sudden Cardiac Death in the Young (SCDY) Surveillance and Prevention Project

The MDCH Genomics Program has initiated a surveillance and prevention project to assess the impact of Sudden Cardiac Death in the Young and identify action steps for prevention. The website contains data and information for providers and families about SCDY which claims the lives of more than 300 Michigan children and young adults a year.
