Syndromes Without A Name USA

We are a nonprofit tax exempt 501c3 organization that advocates for children and young adults who have syndromes without a name. We offer support, advice and information on the challenges that families face when there is no diagnosis. We also advocate for changes in the medical community that will benefit undiagnosed individuals.

Parent to Parent USA

Parent to Parent USA defines parent to parent support as the intentional connection between a trained volunteer Support Parent and a parent seeking information, resources, guidance, and support from an experienced parent. Parent to Parent programs facilitate parent "matches" and provide follow-up support to assure the matched relationship meets peer expectations.

Parent Leadership in State Government

Parent Leadership in State Government (PLISG) connects parents and professionals to build stronger families and communities across the state of Michigan. The PLISG initiative provides training and support to parents in using their voice to impact local, state, and federal program planning and policy development. Parents are given the knowledge and skills to participate on advisory boards, committees, and other decision-making bodies.

National Organization on Fetal Alcohol Syndrome

NOFAS works to prevent prenatal exposure to alcohol, drugs, and other substances known to harm fetal development by raising awareness and supporting women before and during their pregnancy, and supports individuals, families, and communities living with Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders (FASDs) and other preventable intellectual/developmental disabilities. Disability Rights Michigan is the independent, private, nonprofit organization designated by the governor of the State of Michigan to advocate and protect the legal rights of people with disabilities in. Disability Rights Michigan services include information and referral, short-term assistance, selected individual and legal representation, systemic advocacy, monitoring, and training.
