Michigan Division on Deaf and Hard of Hearing

This state office concentrates on helping to improve the lives of Michigan’s Deaf, DeafBlind and Hard of Hearing citizens. Our mission is affirming the indisputable right of persons who are Deaf, DeafBlind and Hard of Hearing to secure effective communication. It receives input from its 13-member citizens Advisory Council appointed by the Governor. Services include Technical Support, Information and Referral, Accommodations, Interpreter Information and Services.

The mission of the Coalition is to provide a forum to promote networking, communication, and information sharing, collaboration and service delivery through the mutual efforts of its diverse membership. To put it simply, we are a dedicated group of people who are Deaf, hard of hearing, and hearing, working together to improve life in Michigan for people who are deaf or hard of hearing.
