The mission of Arab Community Center for Economic and Social Services (ACCESS) is to empower communities to improve their economic, social and cultural well-being by promoting a just and equitable society with the full participation Arab Americans. This website is the largest and most comprehensive Arab community-based health and mental health center in North America that is comprised of medical, public health and research, mental health and environment programs.

Comprehensive Therapy Center

Comprehensive Therapy Center (CTC) provides Speech Language Pathology, Sensory and Motor Therapies to West Michigan children and adults with special needs. CTC’s mission is to meet the therapeutic and educational needs of adults and children with disabilities who are at-risk or disadvantaged, through skill building, academic enhancement and social emotional support. Some of our unique program offerings are: Special Education Services to Schools, Therapy and Fun summer therapy program, Tutoring program, Therapy Services to Mental Health and Social, Service Agencies, Foreign Accent Reduction Therapy, and Home Safety Evaluations.

Deaf and Hard of Hearing Services

Deaf and Hard of Hearing Services (D&HHS), is an independent agency serving Grand Rapids and surrounding areas. As the sole full-service agency for the Deaf and hard of hearing communities in West Michigan, D&HHS fills 4,000+ interpreter assignments annually, and provides further services through American Sign Language classes, cultural awareness and sensitivity training, equipment assistance and advocacy, and an educational and resources support program for deaf children in West Michigan.

Circle of Food Allergic Families

Circle of Food Allergic Families (COFAF) is a volunteer parent-run support group that serves hundreds of families with children who suffer from food allergy and/or eosinophilic gastrointestinal disorders. COFAF is based out of Oakland County but reaches hundreds of families from all over the greater-metropolitan Detroit area. COFAF support each other in many ways: parent meetings, family fun events, guest speakers, product discounts, newsletters, advocacy and so much more.


Michigan Alliance for Families

A statewide resource to connect families of children with disabilities to resources to help improve their children’s education. Can assist you in knowing your rights, effectively communicating your child’s needs, and advising how to help them develop and learn. Their Parent Mentors can assist you in navigating the educational system and are knowledgeable about state and local resources.

The Holley Institute

The Holley Institute, founded in 1993, is devoted to serving the Deaf, Deaf-Blind, and Hard of Hearing. The Institute is closely affiliated with St. John Hospital & Medical Center and has two facilities. The Center for Communication Excellence located in St. John Hospital & Medical Center serves as the hub for the Institute. It is here that we screen all newborns for hearing loss, set up ASL classes in all of St. John/Providence hospitals, and advocate for the Deaf, in particular our Deaf patients.
