Project SEARCH

The State of Michigan Project SEARCH is a program that is providing local high school students with disabilities the opportunity to train, gain and maintain employment through businesses and organization opportunities across the nation. This is the first year the program is offered at the State and we've taken a big step forward in creating more opportunities for people with disabilities and we look forward to the future growth of Project SEARCH within state government.

Michigan Department of Education Parent Engagement Toolkit

The Michigan Department of Education Offices have developed the Collaborating For Success Parent Engagement Toolkit; a comprehensive, research-based resource that includes pertinent and practical information, proven strategies and tools to assist you in enhancing your parent engagement efforts and/or providing a simple yet powerful guide to jump start your program. Includes section on students with disabilities.

Comprehensive Therapy Center

Comprehensive Therapy Center (CTC) provides Speech Language Pathology, Sensory and Motor Therapies to West Michigan children and adults with special needs. CTC's mission is to meet the therapeutic and educational needs of adults and children with disabilities who are at-risk or disadvantaged, through skill building, academic enhancement and social emotional support. Some of our unique program offerings are: Special Education Services to Schools, Therapy and Fun summer therapy program, Tutoring program, Therapy Services to Mental Health and Social, Service Agencies, Foreign Accent Reduction Therapy, and Home Safety Evaluations.

Family Center for Children and Youth with Special Health Care Needs

The parent-directed section of CSHCS is named the Family Center for Children and Youth with Special Health Care Needs. We help shape CSHCS policies and procedures and help families navigate CSHCS. We also offer health resource information and emotional support to all Michigan families of children with special needs. To call on us, enrollment in CSHCS is not required.
