The Arc Kent County ensure that people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) are valued in order that they and their families participate fully in and contribute to their community. The Arc provides numerous resources so that all people realize and fulfill their dreams of having employment, education, meaningful relationships, and living independently within their community.

Disability Service Resource Center

The Disability Services Resource Center (DSRC), formerly known as the Bay County Society for Crippled Children and Adults serves individuals who are temporarily and permanently disabled by helping them remain and/or become part of their community to the fullest extent of their ability. DSRC offers five main programs through the organization that are at no cost to the consumer. The five main programs are Ramp Building, Campership, Disability Awareness Training, Medical Loan Closet, Adaptive Sports/Sporting events.

Autism Alliance of Michigan

Autism Alliance of Michigan (AAoM) is a statewide non-profit organization serving families in our state who are living with autism. AAoM is the central statewide resource for quality information, connection to supports and services, and community based awareness, safety, and inclusion training for first responders, educators, families, transportation and parks/recreation workers. AAoM's goal is to connect families to critical supports and services that will improve the quality of life for those affected by autism, their families, and the communities where they reside.

Michigan Autism Program

The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS) established the Michigan Autism Program in 2013 as part of the Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities Administration. It is our goal to be a leader and partner in the support of individuals with autism, their families/caregivers and professionals serving individuals with autism spectrum disorder to lead a quality and fulfilling life. Deaf Community Advocacy Network

Deaf Community Advocacy Network (DEAF C.A.N.!) provides services to the thousands of Deaf and Hard of Hearing people living in our area. DEAF C.A.N.! offers direct client services to individuals and families, as well as community education and information for professional groups. DEAF C.A.N.! provides a full array of services to the Deaf & Hard of Hearing communities in southeastern Michigan.

Our organization strives to provide families affected by Spina Bifida a support system that fosters a strong sense of community, raises awareness of the condition, advocates for each unique individual's highest level of independence, and creates partnerships that promote Spina Bifida in a positive light. Members have access to a wide variety of events, resources, and scholarships.
