Strive Recreational Therapy Services

Strive Recreational Therapy Services provides Recreational Therapy services for individuals with disabilities within their own home and community. Our services bridge the gap from what is learned in the hospital setting and help apply it to the home setting. Strive prides itself on the implementation of its adaptive sports programs, as well as its leisure and recreation opportunities offered to increase the quality of life of those with disabilities. Not only is Strive a strong advocate for individuals with disabilities, Strive is also a proactive consultant for independent businesses, hospitals, municipal, county, state and national entities. Services are provided throughout Michigan and Florida with consideration of expanding nationally soon.

EnCourage Institute for Teaching and Learning provides Educational Therapy and Developmental Therapy for students with special needs. EnCourage Institute is an educational services company offering Educational Therapy for students with reading, writing and math difficulties. Educational Therapy is a whole-child intervention and includes neuropsychology-based academic interventions integrated with therapies to address processing difficulties and social-emotional needs related to school and learning.

LansingStrong provides a recreational opportunity for youth and adults with physical disabilities to learn and develop sports skills which they can use to compete at the Michigan Victory Games. As a member of the LansingStrong team, individuals will be given the opportunity to achieve collective goals. In addition, the athletes' participation in sports skills development will enhance their competence, self perception of body, self-esteem and help them to form stronger peer relationships.

The Cheff Therapeutic Riding Center strives to focus on what individuals can accomplish, not on what they cannot. Today, the Cheff Therapeutic Riding Center serves riders of all ages who have physical, emotional or cognitive disabilities. Cheff provides opportunities for Hippotherapy (Physical Therapy & Occupational Therapy utilizing the horse as a treatment modality) and Therapeutic Horseback Riding.

Child Care Aware of America works with more than 400 state and local Child Care Resource and Referral agencies nationwide. Child Care Aware of America's vision is that every family in the United States has access to a high quality, affordable child care system. The child care system supports children's growth, development and educational advancement and creates positive economic impact for families and communities.

We offer a place where friendships and relationships can develop through our mentor based program. Whether it is shooting pool, playing video games, watching movies or just hanging out with new friends and old friends, Compassionate Heart is that place where everyone will feel loved, accepted, and included.
