The Center for Self-Determination is a non-profit organization, established in 2000, operating as the primary clearinghouse, training and technical assistance source on Self-Determination in the United States and other countries. The Center is devoted to working within the public and private sector to move power and authority over resources directly to individuals with disabilities, families and allies.

The Esther Coalition Inc.

The Esther Coalition Incorporated is a faith based advocacy and empowerment organization purposed to educate and empower families who love and care for children with severe disabilities, particularly Trisomy 18 and related disorders. Our three main community initiatives for 2013-2020 are MemeBear Cares, Strengthening Young Mothers and Sista to Sista: Let's Talk.

Michigan Alliance for Families

A statewide resource to connect families of children with disabilities to resources to help improve their children's education. Can assist you in knowing your rights, effectively communicating your child's needs, and advising how to help them develop and learn. Their Parent Mentors can assist you in navigating the educational system and are knowledgeable about state and local resources.

The Friendship Circle

Friendship Circle of Michigan is a non-profit organization affiliated with Lubavitch of Michigan. Friendship Circle provides assistance and support to 3,000 individuals with special needs and their families by providing recreational, social, educational and vocational programming. Friendship Circle also provides support to individuals and families struggling with isolation, addiction and other family-related crises.

Michigan Autism Program

The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS) established the Michigan Autism Program in 2013 as part of the Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities Administration. It is our goal to be a leader and partner in the support of individuals with autism, their families/caregivers and professionals serving individuals with autism spectrum disorder to lead a quality and fulfilling life. Community Housing Network

The Community Housing Network (CHN) is committed to providing homes for people in need through proven strategies of homelessness prevention, housing assistance and development, community education and referral, advocacy, and additional services. CHN helps people who are homeless, people with disabilities, and anyone in housing crisis. The CHN Housing Resource Center, a one-stop-shop for all things housing, directs people to resources at CHN and other organizations.

Mid-Michigan Autism Association

Mid-Michigan Autism Association is made up of local people working to improve the quality of life for individuals and families living with developmental disability in Mid-Michigan. In 2008 MMAA was started by a small group of parents and professionals who wanted to understand best treatment options and local resources for our kids with autism. Early on we identified that the work we were doing applied to families living with developmental disabilities of all kinds. Thus the by line Autism Driven, not Autism Specific.

Deaf Community Advocacy Network

Deaf Community Advocacy Network (DEAF C.A.N.!) provides services to the thousands of Deaf and Hard of Hearing people living in our area. DEAF C.A.N.! offers direct client services to individuals and families, as well as community education and information for professional groups. DEAF C.A.N.! provides a full array of services to the Deaf & Hard of Hearing communities in southeastern Michigan.
