Dyslexia is an invisible problem with language that is present at birth and continues throughout life for those with it. Without recognition and appropriate instruction, children with dyslexia will struggle with, or fail to read and write; this is in spite of their average or in many cases, above average intelligence. MDI has been successfully teaching children with dyslexia for over 33 years. Providing remedial and preventative instruction, we have helped thousands of children with dyslexia. Includes camp program, Camp Starlight.

We coordinate primarily Medicaid funded services that give support in all areas of life including living arrangements, daily life skills, education, employment and community integration. Community Inclusive Recreation (CIR) provides a wide variety of activities for the mind and body through artistic, recreational and social programs for people with disabilities. CIR seeks to build awareness and to create opportunities for people of all abilities to participate in the life of the community as fully as possible. Services range from individual support to fully inclusive community activities by guiding healthy activity choices, providing accessible transportation, financial assistance, and connections to a variety of fun activities.
