The BioTrust is a program to oversee our state’s stored blood spots and their use in health research. After newborn screening is performed at the state laboratory, any unused blood spots (including parts of blood spots) are stored indefinitely (forever) unless a parent or grown child (18 years or older) opts-out. Fragile X Syndrome Clinic-University of Michigan

As a member of the National Fragile X Clinic Consortium, our goals are to provide informed clinical care of Fragile X spectrum disorders including Fragile X syndrome, Fragile X Tremor-Ataxia syndrome, and Fragile X Associated Premature Ovarian Failure, and to promote research, education, and training. Appointments can be scheduled in the UM Fragile X Clinic by requesting a referral from your child’s primary care physician or another specialist.

EnCourage Institute is an educational services company offering Educational Therapy for students with reading, writing and math difficulties. Educational Therapy is a whole-child intervention and includes neuropsychology-based academic interventions integrated with therapies to address processing difficulties and social-emotional needs related to school and learning.

The Cheff Therapeutic Riding Center strives to focus on what individuals can accomplish, not on what they cannot. Today, the Cheff Therapeutic Riding Center serves riders of all ages who have physical, emotional or cognitive disabilities. Cheff provides opportunities for Hippotherapy (Physical Therapy & Occupational Therapy utilizing the horse as a treatment modality) and Therapeutic Horseback Riding.
