Community Based Interventions Rehabilitation Services

Community Based Interventions (CBI) Rehabilitation Services provides programs for children and adults. The Children's services program serves children with need for respite care during a crisis situation and the adult residential services program provides 24-hour support to individuals with traumatic brain injury and significant behavioral and cognitive disabilities. The adult program teaches clients daily living skills provided by trained staff and supports maintaining them in their own residence. Vocational services are also provided at CBI Giving Tree Farm for individuals with brain injuries and developmental disabilities.

Michigan Community Dental Clinics

Michigan Community Dental Clinics has several dental clinics located throughout the state that provide dental services to adults and children on Medicaid, as well as low-income, non-insured individuals. Non-Medicaid patients are provided dental services at a reduced fee.

Blind Children’s Fund

The Blind Children's Fund (BCF) exist to help parents of blind children to find the resources they need to raise confident, competent, independent adults. BCF has resources that can encourage and empower you and your child. The BCF website has been designed as a clearinghouse with some "how-to" articles and lots of resources that you can easily find with one-click. BCF purposefully developed their website to help lead you as a parent or a general education teacher with a visually impaired child in your classroom to understand the needs, challenges, and, rewards of teaching a visually impaired child.

Disability Network Capital Area

Disability Network Capital Area is a community-based, cross disability, non-profit organization that works with the Ingham, Clinton, Eaton & Shiawassee Counties providing the following services: Peer Support, Information & Referral, Community Awareness & Advocacy, Independent Living Skills and Transition.
