Do you have a child with an IEP? This series will look at how the important parts of the IEP build on each other. Each week there will be time to network with other families as well as speak with our Parent Mentor and the Arc advocate. Attend one session or all.

January 29th –> IEP 101 and PLAAFP Statement

February 5th –> IEP Goals and Objectives

February 12th –> IEP Support Services

February 19th –> Inclusion: FAPE in the LRE 6:00PM-7:30PM

Down Syndrome Guild of Southeast Michigan

Organization providing programs for new and expectant parents, recreation programs, social programs, and employment programs for residents of Southeast Michigan. The website also provides resource information (including a medical directory and education).

Serious Emotional Disturbances Waiver (SEDW)

The Children's Serious Emotional Disturbances Waiver (SEDW) provides services that are enhancements or additions to Medicaid State Plan coverage for children through age 20 with SED. The SEDW is a fee-for-service program administered by the Community Mental Health Services Programs (CMHSP) in some Michigan counties. All eligibility requirements and coverage areas are listed on the site.

Lights Up Sound Down-Sensory Friendly Movies at Goodrich Quality Theaters

A monthly program, hosted by Goodrich Quality Theaters, open to everyone, but specifically giving families & children with Autism and sensory issues the opportunity to enjoy their favorite movies in a comfortable, sensory - friendly setting with the lights turned up and volume turned down in the auditorium.

Free Health Clinics of Michigan

Free Clinics of Michigan (FCOM) is a network of volunteer-staffed free clinics that provide health care services to the uninsured or medically underserved within the State of Michigan.

Wings of Mercy of East Michigan

Wings of Mercy is a volunteer pilot organization that assists patients in need of transportation to distant medical facilities.

Michigan Community Dental Clinics

Michigan Community Dental Clinics has several dental clinics located throughout the state that provide dental services to adults and children on Medicaid, as well as low-income, non-insured individuals. Non-Medicaid patients are provided dental services at a reduced fee.

Blue Water Center for Independent Living

Blue Water Center for Independent Living (BWCIL) is the disability resource of the thumb. BWCIL works with individuals, their families and other organizations and agencies to help people with disabilities live independently. This includes information and referrals, advocacy services, peer support, independent living skills, and transition services.
