Serious Emotional Disturbances Waiver (SEDW)

The Children's Serious Emotional Disturbances Waiver (SEDW) provides services that are enhancements or additions to Medicaid State Plan coverage for children through age 20 with SED. The SEDW is a fee-for-service program administered by the Community Mental Health Services Programs (CMHSP) in some Michigan counties. An organization in northeast Michigan that provides services such as heat and utility assistance, food programs, homebuyer and foreclosure education programs, weatherization assistance programs, school success programs, and services for pregnant women and children 5 and under.

Camp Starlight

Camp Starlight, in collaboration with the YMCA's Mystic Lake Camp is a one-week long overnight camp for children with dyslexia (ages 7-15), that provides campers with traditional camp activities, but with a unique twist. Children with dyslexia have the opportunity to connect with one another in a positive, safe environment, while they experience highly engaging and informative interactive activities that expand their understanding and acceptance of being dyslexic.

Wings of Mercy is a volunteer pilot organization that assists patients in need of transportation to distant medical facilities.

Michigan Community Dental Clinics

Michigan Community Dental Clinics has several dental clinics located throughout the state that provide dental services to adults and children on Medicaid, as well as low-income, non-insured individuals. Non-Medicaid patients are provided dental services at a reduced fee.
