Capital Area Transportation Authority Spec-Tran Curb to Curb & Paratransit

Spec-Tran is a complementary service for people unable to use CATA's fixed-route system. This is an advance reservation, curb-to-curb service that uses small lift-equipped buses and vans to transport customers certified in accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
Spec-Tran service is available in the cities of Lansing and East Lansing, the townships of Delhi, Lansing, and Meridian, and up to three-quarters of a mile beyond any of CATA's fixed routes.

Spec-Tran es un servicio complementario para personas que no pueden utilizar el sistema de ruta fija de CATA. Este es un servicio que necesita reservacion de antemano y que va de Puerta a puerta y que utiliza autobuses equipados con ascensores para discapacitado y camionetas para transportar a clientes certificados de acuerdo con la Ley Estadounidenses con Discapacidades (ADA).

Launch V.I.P. Time

Launch Trampoline Park of Lansing holds a sensory friendly jump time the 2nd Monday of every month from 6-8 p.m. $10 includes the V.I.P. guest and 1 accompanied adult. Discounted food and beverage pricing is available and includes gluten free options.

Serious Emotional Disturbances Waiver (SEDW)

The Children's Serious Emotional Disturbances Waiver (SEDW) provides services that are enhancements or additions to Medicaid State Plan coverage for children through age 20 with SED. The SEDW is a fee-for-service program administered by the Community Mental Health Services Programs (CMHSP) in some Michigan counties. All eligibility requirements and coverage areas are listed on the site.

Adaptive Social Program Providing Instruction, Recreation, and Enrichment of Mid-Michigan

Adaptive Social Program Providing Instruction, Recreation, and Enrichment (ASPPIRE) provides support services and programs to adults with disabilities. Many of the participants in ASPPIRE are diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD); however, they also work with individuals with other disabilities such as mental illness, learning disabilities, or developmental disabilities. Through social coaching programs, Person Centered Planning, and connections to community resources, ASPPIRE aims to help participants lead functional and productive lives.

Beyond our Barriers

BOB is a marketing tool to help individuals with barriers to employment, get a leg up to find their sense of purpose in society. Utilizing online profiles, featuring dynamic video resumes, individuals are able to showcase their abilities and break through stigmas that a simple paper resume or even face to face interview cannot.

Giving Tree Farm

Giving Tree started 12 years ago as a community garden for people with disabilities. The farm is now owned and operated by Community Based Interventions. CBI runs a vocational training and rehabilitation program on the farm site. Monday through Friday people who have suffered Traumatic Brain Injuries help grow fresh & healthy produce for CSA members, area restaurants, the East Lansing Food Co-op and local farmer's markets.
