Focusing on the medically underserved, including our area's migrant population, InterCare provides affordable, accessible care. Deaf Community Advocacy Network

Deaf Community Advocacy Network (DEAF C.A.N.!) provides services to the thousands of Deaf and Hard of Hearing people living in our area. DEAF C.A.N.! offers direct client services to individuals and families, as well as community education and information for professional groups. DEAF C.A.N.! provides a full array of services to the Deaf & Hard of Hearing communities in southeastern Michigan.

Deaf and Hard of Hearing Services

Deaf and Hard of Hearing Services (D&HHS), is an independent agency serving Grand Rapids and surrounding areas. As the sole full-service agency for the Deaf and hard of hearing communities in West Michigan, D&HHS fills 4,000+ interpreter assignments annually, and provides further services through American Sign Language classes, cultural awareness and sensitivity training, equipment assistance and advocacy, and an educational and resources support program for deaf children in West Michigan.

Giving Tree Farm

Giving Tree started 12 years ago as a community garden for people with disabilities. The farm is now owned and operated by Community Based Interventions. CBI runs a vocational training and rehabilitation program on the farm site. Monday through Friday people who have suffered Traumatic Brain Injuries help grow fresh & healthy produce for CSA members, area restaurants, the East Lansing Food Co-op and local farmer's markets.

Michigan Community Dental Clinics

Michigan Community Dental Clinics has several dental clinics located throughout the state that provide dental services to adults and children on Medicaid, as well as low-income, non-insured individuals. Non-Medicaid patients are provided dental services at a reduced fee.

Disability Service Resource Center

The Disability Services Resource Center (DSRC), formerly known as the Bay County Society for Crippled Children and Adults serves individuals who are temporarily and permanently disabled by helping them remain and/or become part of their community to the fullest extent of their ability. DSRC offers five main programs through the organization that are at no cost to the consumer. The five main programs are Ramp Building, Campership, Disability Awareness Training, Medical Loan Closet, Adaptive Sports/Sporting events.
